Transitioning

At noon on 29 November, Margaret and I said goodbye to Changzumtog, the neighborhood in Thimphu we’ve learned to call home, having spent the days before with goodbyes to those people and places we’ve learned to call friends. We’re now in Paro, the point of our entry into Bhutan and today the point of our departure, having tried to soften the transition by a day or two of relaxation and sightseeing.

No longer here and not yet there, blogging will be too difficult for now, though there are many more stories later to be told. For the moment, we’re hoping that, unlike Hugh Conway, the protagonist of Lost Horizon, we will find our way back to Shangri La.
